About ISUPTW 2024

International Symposium on Ultrafast Phenomena and THz Waves (ISUPTW), an international symposium, provides a platform for strengthening the collaboration and exchange among worldwide researchers in academia and industry and promoting the development in Ultrafast and Terahertz science and technology. The biennial symposium, initiated in 2002, has been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Tianjin, Xi'an, Wuhan, Chongqing, Changsha, Chengdu and Qingdao. It brings together scholars, researchers, engineers and students from more than 10 countries and typically hosts about 150-400 participants.


ISUPTW 2024 will be hosted by Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Guangzhou at Nov. 15-18, 2024. Two symposia, THz Science and Technology and Ultrafast phenomena, are being arranged in the symposium with the scope ranging from basic research to application, including the fields of terahertz and ultrafast phenomena. 


Guangzhou is a modern city with an international atmosphere and rich culture. It is famous for its bustling business atmosphere, long history and culture, and rich food.
